1. DIY Nativity Scene Paint Makeover

Moving on to my first feature.....I'm a pushover for Nativity scenes and this one Christy found at Habitat Restore and painted is so sweet. The scene was missing the baby Jesus and she ordered one online.

2. DIY Pallet Christmas Tree Decorating Idea

The pallet wood Christmas tree is right up my alley. You could use just about any type of wood for this project. Gail used pallet wood, cedar shingles, and even wood shims. You can see how she put the tree together here.

I'm a wreath person so this cute little pom pom wreath by Kristin at My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia caught my eye. I don't know if I have the patience for this but you might! See how she put the wreath together here.

My hardware Christmas tree has been a fan favorite for years and it's one of my favorite projects ever. I made the tree many years ago and it is still holding together even though we store it in the attic of our shed which gets really hot.

8. Plaid Tote Bag Christmas Door Display - Simple Christmas Decorating Idea

I was supposed to only showcase one project from each of our tour members but this Christmas door display caught my eye and I just had to share.

I have a similar tote bag with the thermos and lunch box container but I took it to my booth to sell. I'm bringing it home today. Look for a similar door display from me in the near future.

9. Teacup Christmas Ornaments

I don't always use old stuff to make my projects, only most of the time! The teacup ornaments started with vintage teacups and then I added new crafty stuff for the finish.

When do you start decorating your home for Christmas? At one time I started decorating on Thanksgiving afternoon but the past couple of years I've been dragging. I think I've been getting the trip up towards the second week of Christmas.

I also put out less decor than past years. Is it my age? Maybe not having young kids at home?

When do you start Christmas gift shopping? I admit to being a late shopper. Some people shop throughout the year. Are you one of those?
